20 Years Old Mega Update

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read what is a bit of a mega update.

20 years ago today, 999 Network Services was formed and we have been helping both business and residential customers ever since. We like to think that we have developed a high level of service and trust over this time and would like to thank all our customers old and new.

We look forward to many more years of providing the service you expect.

You may have heard that Openreach are planning on switching off their copper voice services in the not to distant future. We have been working closely with Zen Internet recently to make sure we are ready for this. We are now able to provide the majority of properties with a broadband connection without the need for a voice line.

For everyone who is paying for line rental but never use it, this could save a little bit each month. We will be contacting customers who already have our services with Zen to see what upgrades are available. Many can now have full fibre to the premises and can do away with the old copper cable completely. These properties can now have 1000Mbps (1Gbps) download speeds.

For those that do not have their broadband with us, get in touch to see how we can help. You could decide to stay with your existing supplier, but that would mean yet again, a price increase at the end of this month!

On the subject of price increases, unfortunately, Microsoft announced that they would be increasing the cost of their business 365 licenses by 10% in April. We will have to pass this onto to our customers, but we continue to be cheaper than purchasing directly from Microsoft for most types of licenses.

Finally, we will shortly be registered for VAT. This will allow us to handle the billing of broadband services directly so that we can get preferential pricing from Zen that we can pass onto you. This change will not affect most business customers as the additional 20% VAT added to invoices can be claimed back from HMRC as normal. For residential customers with existing monthly PC support contracts, we will be applying a discount to future invoices so that the amount you pay does not go up. All new support contracts will be subject to VAT.

Again, thank you for your trust in us over the past 20 years. If you have any questions about anything you have read here, just Contact Us and we will be more than happy to help.
